Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
- Can you perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials?
- Do you have experience welding components in flat, vertical ,or overhead positions?
- Do you have experience of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures?
- Do you have experience in lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers?
- Do you have experience in examining workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications?
- Do you have experience of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods?
- Can you recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
- Do you have experience of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models?
- Do you have experience of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance?
